Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

1. Introduction

Motionly (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the motionly.studio website and platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and name. You can sign in with email and password or with Google (OAuth). Both are handled by Supabase Auth: we never store passwords directly, they are managed securely by Supabase, and Google sign-in shares only your basic profile (name and email) with us.

Business profile data: Information you provide about your business (name, industry, audience, brand guidelines) to generate ads tailored to your brand.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the platform, including ads generated, features used, and interaction patterns to improve our service.

Technical data: Browser type, device information, IP address, and similar technical data collected automatically when you visit our site.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Motionly platform
• Generate motion ads based on your briefs and brand data
• Improve our AI pipeline and ad quality
• Send important service updates (no marketing spam)
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Respond to support requests

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Period.

We share data only with the service providers that run Motionly:

Supabase: authentication and database hosting
Anthropic: AI processing for ad generation (brief content only, not personal data)
Vercel: hosting and deployment
AWS: video rendering and file storage
PostHog: product analytics (see Section 5)
Resend: transactional email, such as ad-ready notifications
Stripe: payment processing (when applicable)

These providers process data solely to provide their services to us and are bound by their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how the platform is used: which pages are visited, which features are used, and where people get stuck. PostHog stores an identifier in cookies and browser localStorage for this purpose. We use this data to improve the product, not to advertise to you: we do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not share analytics data with ad networks.

6. Data Security

Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure you can only access your own data. We follow security best practices and regularly review our infrastructure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data
• Object to data processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@motionly.studio.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the platform. Continued use of Motionly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
